May I Introduce You To...

... Annie. Or more Precisely Annie's shop

The Village Habedashery

I'm really rather excited about this because we all know how frustrating shopping online - in particular in the UK - can be. We find the solids we want here, the threads there. Lovely modern fabric at one shop and the wadding somewhere else.

So isn't it nice that someone has opened a shop that provides for all these needs in one place! Not only that but they have done so in one of the best laid out websites that I have seen in a long time.

You can search the fabrics by colour, type, company, designer, collection or pattern.

1
Rock Garden - Stone Flowers

Choose your fabrics, and get some coordinating solids. Annie has over 60 in stock - including some voiles if you have the urge to make one of those infinity scarves. (And the Loulouthi velveteens to go with those voiles!)

Kits and Precut Fabric Stacks
I love these pre-cut bundles.
Five FQ of solids for £8.

The Village Haberdashery doesn't just have fabric, and thread, and wadding. It has (can you feel my excitement?) -

Be still my beating heart. A luscious, rainbow of perle cottons.

How about some yarns?

Yarn
I'd like to jump into a whole pile of these and loll about.

And just in case you need them, a virtual cornucopia of knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops of every size from 10cm to 30cm. Let's not forget the wadding, interfacing, rotary cutters, pins, needles (hand sewing and machine), ribbons, etc. Just in case you have loaded your cart full and are worried about shipping then check this out

Shipping from two pounds seventy five pence

So, as an incentive to go and have a proper look at The Village Haberdashery yourself Annie is generously sponsoring a giveaway here. I am afraid to announce that this first giveaway is open to UK residents only. It's a new shop and Annie needs to build up a national customer database to start with. But look what she is offering to one lucky person.

A half metre of Ruby Star Rising typewriters, five coordinating FQ of solids (Kona Bone, Honey, Gold, Peach and Plum) and two DMC perle cottons!! Woozah!

You have three chances of winning if you are a UK resident (or cunningly have a UK address it can be shipped to should you win).

1. Hop on over to The Village Haberdashery and come back leaving a comment saying what you like about the shop.
2. Sign up for The Village Haberdashery newsletter. If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the website there is a little box for you to input  your email address and subscribe. Easy, peasy!
3. Blog about this giveaway and let people know that The Village Haberdashery has opened. Come back and leave a comment saying you have done so.

The giveaway will close Friday, March 16th, at noon (UK time) and the winner will be announced later that day.

Well, I am knackered out from all this excitement. Think I shall go put my feet up and dream up a new blog so I can secretly enter this giveaway myself.

Giveaway is now closed. Thank you to all who entered.

Susan
