May I Introduce You To...

... Annie. Or more Precisely Annie's shop

The Village Habedashery


I'm really rather excited about this because we all know how frustrating shopping online - in particular in the UK - can be. We find the solids we want here, the threads there. Lovely modern fabric at one shop and the wadding somewhere else.

So isn't it nice that someone has opened a shop that provides for all these needs in one place! Not only that but they have done so in one of the best laid out websites that I have seen in a long time.

You can search the fabrics by colour, type, company, designer, collection or pattern.

Choose your fabrics, and get some coordinating solids. Annie has over 60 in stock - including some voiles if you have the urge to make one of those infinity scarves. (And the Loulouthi velveteens to go with those voiles!)

You have three chances of winning if you are a UK resident (or cunningly have a UK address it can be shipped to should you win).

1. Hop on over to The Village Haberdashery and come back leaving a comment saying what you like about the shop.
2. Sign up for The Village Haberdashery newsletter. If you look at the bottom right hand corner of the website there is a little box for you to input  your email address and subscribe. Easy, peasy!
3. Blog about this giveaway and let people know that The Village Haberdashery has opened. Come back and leave a comment saying you have done so.

The giveaway will close Friday, March 16th, at noon (UK time) and the winner will be announced later that day.

Well, I am knackered out from all this excitement. Think I shall go put my feet up and dream up a new blog so I can secretly enter this giveaway myself.

    What a lovely shop! I love the beautiful photographs of the products, very clear, crisp and clean. I like that you have options to narrow your search, helps to find what you want faster.
    Also great range of products, you really could get everything you need from just the one place :-)

    Knitting and sewing in one place is so rare, and they have done it so well.

    What isn't to love about Annie's shop really?! I love how the selection of fabric is all fresh and modern and there is about a gazillion different colors of embroidery floss!

    Ooooh you never said before we just needed to have a UK address. Me me - I have a UK address. I get bank statements sent there so I'm sure my MIL would be much more thrilled to receive pretty fabric. (although she might be tempted to keep it :( )

    I love the range of Perle!! I've been meaning to buy some nice pearl colours in ages. Great to see so many people supporting Annie's new shop :)

    So much temptation in this gorgeous shop! Easy to navigate and has a wonderful selection of fabrics including some great Australian designers :) I love the bundles with the coordinating solids, which can be difficult to choose separately online.
    Also love the yarns and threads on offer (well everything really!)

    I think what I like most about the website is how clean, modern and up to date it looks but at the same time is really easy to navigate. They also have a wide range of products and good P&P :)

    I've been really impressed with the progress of the Village Haberdashery, and I love the selection of modern fabric prints and patterns available, especially Oliver + S which are quite hard to find in the UK. The prices are great too.

    Whats not to love about Annies shop? I love the massive amount of stock... I love the brilliant, consistant photos of EVERYTHING (how long did that take?!) I love the search features. I love that there's a wishlist. I love that there's a compare function. I could go on.... lol
