I'm in Love!

Yes, I am in love. It happened a few weeks ago. It was just a normal day and I was doing my usual messing about with fabric when this happened -

That wonky star. I fell in love with it and there has been no looking back since. I have tried to concentrate on other things but it's impossible. My mind keeps coming back to it. I want more. Now! So, today I went about satisfying my craving.

I turned my back on crazy blocks, the lovely Pips, etc. and took all this - which I could have sworn I had previously ordered into separate colour piles -

And I started creating -

This little constellation is just the start. I still have the paler greens, the reds, the oranges - but I have begun on what will become my next quilt top.

Funny how simple things can make me happy. Good thing too because I had a tiny moment of chocolate guilt when this big eye looked at me with such pathetic anguish after I ate the ears -

Oh, but I got over that soon enough!

  7. Pretty blocks...I love how you've made them all one colour...I like them better than the ones that are really scrappy. Can't wait to see what you do with them!
