First On The To Do List

Well the dining room has returned to its usual state of disarray, threads are clinging to the carpet and fabric is everywhere. The table is hidden under a cutting mat and the machine. I am happy!

Now don't get me wrong. I would rather put away my machine for a few days and have a good tidy so I can have my mum to stay than be on a continuous sewing spree. Sometimes other things definitely take priority. But when the lovely visit comes to an end it doesn't take me long to create chaos again.

After a short ponder this morning I decided to do some more work on my pinwheel quilt. I had one more pinwheel to do so got right to it.

Notice the problem? Uh-huh. This person didn't remember the measurements correctly. Wasn't intelligent enough to go back and measure one of the already made pinwheels and just recklessly cut what she thought were the correct measurements. Typical! So now I have an extra, slightly smaller pinwheel, which may or may not go into the backing. We shall see. I made another one, the right size this time. And then I got on with adding borders, because they are necessary to my plan for this quilt top.

Unfortunately it was then time for the school run. (Some of the day was consumed by grocery shopping, driving to the train station, etc.) So this is all I have to report. How sad is that?!

But my evening won't be sad because Sainsburys had something on sale and it called my name loud and clear. It may look familiar but I categorically state that this one is mine and all mine!

Chocolate, crocheting, the remote all to myself. I am seeing a clear plan for the evening.

  1. LOL sorry, nice to see I'm not the only one who does daft stuff sometimes! And I agree, it is such a happy happy feeling to wallow in the chaos of cut fabric and thread ends! (if only they didnt magically transport themselves all over the house afterwards...)

  2. ...And that is why I enjoy random piecing so much!
Also the makers of that chocolate bunny make my most favourite chocolate in the whole word.

  4. Sounds like a lovely evening ahead...except for the crocheting as I have no clue how to do that. Enjoy your chocolate bunny - I require evidence of the empty foil wrapper tomorrow. Good old Sainsbury!
