The Contortionist

Emily is obviously preparing herself for the circus, or to assist a Houdini want-to-be or some such thing. Because I keep wandering round the house and finding her in odd situations.

But her newest trick involves Helen's new desk.

Which has a cupboard for the hardware of a computer she may own some day.

Emily finds it endless fun to get in there.

And hide.

She frightened the heck out of Helen the first time she did it. So I think she has finally found her calling. Magicians Assistant. Everything we ever wished for. Yeah right!

A number of you admired my Moo! cards yesterday (thank you) and expressed an interest in having some for yourself. If you do decide to get yourself some and use this link - http://www.moo.com/share/dsxdj9 - I will benefit from it by discounts on future purchases. Oh, and it gets you 10% of your order too! I only found this out yesterday when Pippa - Pippa's Patch - emailed me and asked for my referral link. (Thank you, Pippa.) So I am shamelessly putting the link on here in case anyone else was thinking of buying some. If you do, please let me know so that I can thank you properly.

I'm posting early today because after a series of extremely busy days my main ambition today is to accomplish nothing at all other than total relaxation. The fact that the weather is foul is added incentive to just sit and veg all day. Hope you all have an equally satisfying Sunday.

Susan

  1. Ah I think that Helen has a bright future! My son said that there was a boy at school who was locked into a cupboard, and when register was being taken, replied from the cupboard. The teacher released him and thought that he was lucky to be found as it was a Friday. The boys were very amused by this. Beware Helen!

  2. Happy vegging! Tell Emily there is NO money to be made from being a magician assistant! Not enough at least to keep her mother comfortable in her old age!!

  3. Similar story to above - one mother at the swimming pool hadn't noticed her son getting into a locker and getting stuck - my daughter did and we told reception so he got out safely!

Maybe she can go on holiday in your case!? Save a bit of money but not as comfortable!

    Happy relaxing!

  6. Oy, where`s my commission?? Please be careful with the cupboards - Zaki is doing the same thing...well hiding under mounds of blankets and duvets. Frightens the life out of me.

  10. My kids hid in a similar cupboard in one of our desks while they still fit. Something about it that appeals I guess. I hope your lazy day is going well.

  18. It would be an interesting job to talk about at parties. Or she could parlay it into a gymnastic career and go to the Olympics.

Hope your day was full of nothing and you feel utterly relaxed.

  19. oh I had a lovely relaxed Sunday thanks to the kids playing out in the garden most of the day despite a freezing wind! I love my Moo cards and use them as little thank you labels for my etsy shop! I am glad my kids aren't the only ones that do crazy things like that! x
