If any of you are not already aware, Lucy, over at Charm About You is holding a Fugly Fabric Party. What is this all about? Well it is an opportunity for you to give/trade/pay someone to take your Fugly fabric off your hands. It doesn't have to be truly ugly - just unloved and unwanted. Cowering in the corner of your stash knowing that it will be passed over once again, ignored and derided.
Some of you who have been reading me for a while are aware that I have made it a bit of a habit to giveaway my Fuglies. So it would just be wrong for me not to step forward and join in Lucy's party. I had another dig and found some fabric that truly is not ugly. It is, however, very ignored and has been in my stash for a very long time. I have chosen it to be my latest attempt to make room for fabric that I will use, love and wallow in happily. (There is a method to my madness!)
Would any of you be interested in having eight (yes, eight!) FQs of this.
I know! It is obvious that things have changed in my stash over the years. I still kind of like these fabrics though - well some of them. But I can't see me making anything with them in the foreseeable future and they have been languishing here for about five years as near as I can tell.
All eight FQs are from the Seaside Rose by 3 Sisters for Moda line. They have barely been touched by human hands because they were still in the Fat Quarter Shop bag.
If you are interested in having this fabric haul then just leave a comment. No hoops. I don't do hoops. Can't be arsed, to be quite honest. If you follow me you do so because you like following me. One comment, one chance to win. Easy peasy lemon squeesy! I am more than happy to post anywhere in the world. If you are a non-reply blogger and don't leave an email address then I will do a redraw. I will do the draw next week. How about February 14th? Valantines Day.
If this fabric is not to your taste, please stay tuned. This is not the last giveaway this week. I have plans!!
Susan
Susan, I really like those and would love to give them a new home. I have a small pile of similar (possibly even the same line) Fqs that have been waiting to make a quilt for my Mum's spare bedroom. Now I'm off to find some fabric I'm not going to use so I can play along too :)
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics would work very nicely with the others I have for my mom's quilt so please pick me. I want to get her quilt done by Christmas this year (fingers crossed.)
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding Susan? They are gorgeous, I can already picture them as a new bag for my daughter!. I know, you are thinking now that I have a horrible taste, don't you?
ReplyDeleteI would be delighted to have these fabrics - I think they are absolutely lovely and you are very kind to offer them!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I'm picturing tableware. :-)

HOW do you still have fugly fabric left??
ReplyDeleteNot fugly at all!
ReplyDeleteOh that is pretty! I would love a chance to make something with it. And I am going to become a follower, because I love blogs with humor in them!
ReplyDeleteI actually bought another 3 sisters range in charm pack form quite recently. My only defence was it was on sale and I'd used a bit of the same range that someone sent me in my large hexies. Having got it I did wonder if I'd taken leave of my senses. Then I remembered there are some people I make for (Older relatives) that would love stuff made in this kind of fabric.
ReplyDeletei thought you got rid of it all last year !!!
ReplyDeletenot fugly.
ReplyDeleteThat is all :)
OMG Yes Yes Yes!!! I love 3 sisters. Have just bought some Oasis fabric which was on sale. How can you part with it?!?!? Hugs
ReplyDeleteSorry Susan but this isn't fugly fabric!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win these!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. Some of the fabric in my stash isn't ugly, but I have had it long enough that if it found a new home I wouldn't miss it. Your fat quarters are lovely and would look great on my shelf. :)
ReplyDeleteNow see, that isn't really me, but I can imagine a bunch of uses for it for other people, so thanks for the chance to win them :o)
ReplyDeleteAlas, I've only really bought my fabric in the last 6 months, so I haven't had time to build up the fuglies and ignored just yet...
Those fabrics aren't fugly at all! I would love to win them. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that fabric you are offering. I am working on a scrap quilt idea, but I tend to buy brights, so it would be great to add some softer fabrics to the mix. Of course, I would have to make something out of the fabric bundle FIRST, so that the leftovers would really be scraps :-)
ReplyDeleteNo, not fugly really - they are very pretty and just my sort of thing as you know!
ReplyDeletePomona x

ReplyDeleteI really do love these fuglies! Once upon a time - a long time ago - I felt like a fugly myself... afraid to come out and take part - but - now I am just plain me ... fugly or not - I am what I am :-) So here's cheers to all you other fuglies out there - speak up - share your ideas - be creative - SMILE and WAVE to people you don't know. THEN - they WILL think there is something "wrong" with you.

ReplyDeletecarrie dot hare@gmail.com
Thanks for the international giveaway!
They remind me of my SIL's guest bedroom. She has the bedspread, pillows and curtains in soft florals. Then she also has her mother's vintage twin beds, night stands and dresser. It's a warm, comforting room just like those FQs. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics! So pretty! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I would make you something out of them!
ReplyDeleteWhen making things for my shabby chic loving friends, I am always in trouble so this little lot would help me out lots!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous "fugly" fabrics. Looking forward to seeing who wins!
ReplyDeletePretty! I'd happily give these a new home :)
ReplyDeleteOh my-- those are not ugly at all! I already have several ideas on how i'd use them -- baby quilt for expected first grand daughter, and /or a summer purse (for me) are at the top of the list.
ReplyDeleteI certainly understand what you mean about tastes changing but this line remains a favorite of mine. Sadly I bought very little and would love to win these. I know the odds aren't great but I am crossing fingers and toes!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous fabrics! I would love to win them! Thanks for the chance to add them to my beloved, albeit little, stash.
ReplyDeleteI blame the blogs that you read for changing your taste in fabric!

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing !
Thanks for giving your fabric a second chance in a new home!
ReplyDeleteI don't think they're ugly at all! Thank you for offering them and a chance to win! =)
ReplyDeleteNo way are those ugly! I'd be more than happy to adopt them and use them for a baby girl quilt.
ReplyDeleteNope. I'm gagging just seeing them on the screen.

Can I say how refreshing your no hoops approach is. Thank you for that. And you know I will be sticking around in appreciation. ;)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how our tastes change? These are pretty, Susan, and I'm going to try for them as I do believe I have a few pieces in my stash that I could combine them with to actually make something. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your "fugly" giveaway!
Ummmm....these are just lovely! When I saw them, I immediately thought pillowcases, but I bet that combined they would make a darling half apron, maybe with a ruffle to show off those roses!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I really LOVE those fabrics. Pastels are right up my ally, and the roses make it that much better. I really want to win these. Thanks for the chance. Joyce-ccarter13@windstream.net
ReplyDeleteI would love to win these to make a baby quilt. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh these are so pretty! I am fairly new to quilting, and these would make a lovely 5th quilt!
ReplyDeleteI have a bit of a thing for traditional florals at the moment and would love to add these to my WIP for my baby daughter - my first ever quilt. Thanks for the chance to win them. I don't really have a stash as I don't have that much fabric spending money so I promise they will be used and loved.
ReplyDeleteJodi
Ooooh just in time! I tried to comment last week but my phone wouldn't let me :( I love 3 sisters, and although that apparently ages me by about 50 years, I dont care, it's all just so pretty!
