... my package of solids and linen arrived from America. I can get on with making things now. I am so relieved. It is a horrible feeling watching everyone else getting on with the making in a swap and not being able to do anything yourself.
I posted a photo of my solids on the For the Love of Solids Flickr page and was thrilled that my partner commented in a very positive manner. I will be able to proceed with cutting on Monday, I hope.

The colours haven't all photographed as true to what they are,
but it is a good enough representation, I guess.
I love the bright cheerfulness of it. |
With the linen's arrival I could proceed with my pouch for Mouthy Stitches as well. I have sewn in a strip between the triangles I already pieced, added the wadding and now am doing some hand stitching.
I have a few more daisies to do but
think that I am pleased with the way it looks. I hope my partner likes it too.

I'm going with the theory that petals on a daisy in reality aren't all perfectly spaced and shaped.
Neither are mine! |
So it has been a day of swimming for the girls which was great. Because my mum was there and instead of 'Mummy, watch this!' there was two hours of 'Grandma, watch me!'. Absolutely brilliant!! Then Emily's last dance class before her exam tomorrow. Home for a late(ish) lunch and then himself took them off over the fields and I was the taxi service when it all got too much, to go fetch them home again. Which I have done and settled them in front of the telly with one of these each.
Life is good when you are nine and eleven!
Susan

Yay for fabric goodies finally arriving. I'm anxiously awaiting my last 2 bits. Alas, I think the regular postie's on holiday this week, and the cover hasn't got a key, so we only got one delivery all week, and that was 2 days ago... Maybe Monday...
