What I Planned All Along

It was Saturday night and Helen asked me what I had bought for her friend's birthday present. The one she was going over to have a sleepover with the next day. Since 'B****r all!' would not have been an appropriate answer, I told her I would make something. Yes, of course I would. Wasn't that the plan all along?

So make I did. Oh, and I sent Helen to the Coop to get some chocolate to put in the make. And to our neighbour, who very conveniently has just started setting up to sell craft supplies for children online. (Phew!) Present sorted, just in time.

Right, that's me off the hook. This time.

  2. It is beautiful, but hang on, you were not on the hook, it seems to me you bailed out a certain forgetful friend who did not get the present thing moving. You get a gold star.

  5. Don't you just love it when they do that? My 17yr old has just pulled the same trick on me but I have left him to figure out what to do! You made a lovely zippy and I like the embroidery too. Di x

  16. I used to love it when Miss P did that to me ( insert sarcasm here ) I cant count the amount of times Ive stayed up late making a costume that had to be finished with 8 hours notice, or a bunch of cakes for the cakes stall.

    You rock baby!

My son used to specialise in mentioning things in the car on the way to school!!
Luckily we had a bargain shop & a bakery on the way so most emergencies could be sorted.
