Sorry, I know so many are on a fabric diet, but I never signed up for it. It would have been setting myself up for failure and there was no need for that. I just cannot imagine even trying. I know that sounds horrible but I had my fabric diets when there really was not a chance in hell financially that I could indulge myself so now that I can on occasion I do.
On that note, here's what arrived today from Pink Castle.
For me this stack is colour bliss. And I've got ideas lurking that I wish to start as soon as I feel I have obliterated enough of my FAL list.
I wasn't home stroking fabric all day though. I went off on another meet up. This time with Gill (blogs here), who I've been trying to meet up with for quite a while but life got in the way. Totally my fault, not hers. I would like to show you a photo of her but totally forgot to take one when we were together. We met in Stratford-upon-Avon which is such a pretty town, but truly comes into its own when the sun is shining like it was today.
I had a wander along the river before the meet up time, and then stumbled upon Crabtree & Evelyn when I went into the town centre. I didn't go in intending to buy anything but that picnic basket, full of treats, was on sale for only £10. Obviously I had to bring it home with me. Didn't I?!

Awesome! I am not dieting either, thank goodness!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this loveliness :)
ReplyDeleteWell done. I was on a fabric diet and I still really am but there were a few sales and I only bought a little. I do love your purchases.
ReplyDeleteLove your basket what a wonderful price! I might be making a small(ish) fabric purchase or two myself this month. Should possibly be on a fabric diet but I think I would fail. Off to look at your link.
ReplyDeleteYou can put some lovely fabric in that basket when you've eaten the foody treats. Love your fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteLovely haul!! Stratford-upon-Avon is such a cute place, memories of school trips are flooding back to me!!
ReplyDeleteThe basket will look even better once the goodies are gone and its full of fabric. Hope you didnt get stung by Customs for all that beautiful fabric.
ReplyDeleteYour new fabric is gorgeous and I can't wait to see the project it's going in!
ReplyDeleteNicely done : ) My fabric diet was CRUSHED last weekend ! Today ( the diet is OVER ) I had fun clicking away @ Mad About Patchwork's sale. I picked up colors I somehow came home without ( and then I picked quite a few more ) .
ReplyDeleteNo diet here... I promise. I'm looking jealously on all your purchases while enjoying the HUGE bundle of AnnaMarie Horner fabric I got from up the US last week and still haven't quite digested :)
ReplyDeleteoh nice fabrics!
ReplyDeleteLove your bargain basket, def not to be passed up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to live! You certainly get around! Jxo
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics Susan. Im not on a diet but I seem to have caught some sort of malady where Im not seeing anything I feel I have to buy. I hope it doesn't last!
ReplyDeleteSince Im a complete enabler - I'll tell you - you had to buy that basket. it's useful , pretty and almost free !
Love the polka dots, your mosaic, those swans, everything! . . . . and cant wait to get a glimpse into your creative mind once you start eating into those fabric morsels. Yum.
ReplyDeleteA person couldn't be expected to pass up such a great basket - priced right and full of wonderful treats! I love the colors of your new arrivals!
ReplyDeletePretty fabric. Stratford upon Avon is so pretty. We only spent a few hours there once passing through.
ReplyDeleteI hope you shared the basket on a nice picnic. You are really having a great meeting time.
ReplyDeleteOh love those fabrics!! And yes, Stratford Upon Avon is a stunning place, I'd love to go back as it was raining when we were there. Looks like you had a wonderful day and that basket alone for £10 is a bargain, let alone all those treats inside x
ReplyDeleteIs that an existing bundle or something you put together? If it exists I plan to add it to my pin board of fabric to splurge on when I am allowed ;) Not that I am proper fasting, just dieting you understand ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the bundle, good buy! I need to have a bit of a fabric diet, well be a bit more targeted about what I buy. Love the basket, and a great price :o)
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics! Was that in the 25% offer they did a little while ago? I totally bought some too.....I'm kind of embarrassed to show my recent fabric purchases - it's been slightly excessive (but they've all been on such a good deal, honest!). You had the perfect weather for Stratford and the basket looks delightful!
ReplyDeleteWhat sociable time you're having..and sun too :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a great fabric haul! It was so lovely to meet up at last & thanks for pointing me in the direction of that fab basket of goodies too :-) Happy weekend to you & enjoy the sunshine. We're back in Stratford again tomorrow as hubby wants to go to the MAD museum - hmmm wonder if C & E will have any baskets left - a matching pair for my craft room would be good ;-)

I'm having enough of food dieting without fabric dieting as well. Love Stratford on Avon, especially the walk along the river looking at the river houseboats. Look forward to seeing what lovely thing this fabric turns into.
ReplyDeleteLove the picnic basket. Totally envious of your trips out in this sunshine 😄
ReplyDeleteCompletely agree with your thoughts on a fabric diet. I, too, would have been setting myself up to fail, quite like a food diet! A few years ago when I was on unpaid maternity leave and my husband was on a really low wage I could not buy any new fabric. I remember saving any dollar extra we got and only sewing things I already had on hand. I'll spend what I like on it now, since we're both earning good money and things are comfortable.
