I would have got more done today if I had any will power.
I should have got more done today because I have parcels to post to far away places.
I could have got more done today if I focused.
But I didn't. I've been blog hopping, entering giveaways - and... um... and finishing a tub of Haagen Dazs Chocolate Mint Ice Cream. Ever tried it? It is lush!
I did finish off another candlemat. I chopped up some charms I had sitting there waiting for the right project. Backed it in unbleached cotton from IKEA. Added a touch of perle and it can be popped into someone's Christmas parcel. That leaves two more things to make for the packages that should have been posted last week.
I will endeavour to get more done. But there are so many incredible giveaways. Honestly, how am I supposed to stay focused?
Susan
It looks great.
ReplyDeleteBugger focus, there are prizes to be won ;-)
ReplyDeleteWell even so, the candlemat is beautiful. Your work is great. Good luck on the giveaways.
ReplyDeleteGood luck - wouldn't it be great if you won multiple times?!
ReplyDeleteFocus? What's that? Love your candle mat.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely - not bad for unfocused. I gave up on the giveaways when I realised I hadn't be doing the Rafflecopter thing right, and I have no idea which blogs it was on!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you about 'staying focused" - so hard to do with so much to look at!!!! Love that candle mat.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmmm, mint ice cream. I can understand your focus problems. Sarah
ReplyDeleteLOL! You giveaway junkie! Lovely festive mat! Jxo
ReplyDeleteI'm supposed to be binding a charity quilt, Christmas decorating and baking and I am blog hopping too!
ReplyDeleteWould have, should have what? You have a beautiful finish! It always amazes me how hand stitching can perfectly finish off a project. Beautiful

ReplyDeleteWell at least you are increasing your 'luck' with so many entries. Good thing you have ice cream to keep your strength up! Another nice candle mat Mrs S. Di x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous makes as always. My focus is wandering around like a lost idiot looking for it's village.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I like you so much Susan ! It will probably get there on time anyway! I think there is another tub of icecream calling you!
ReplyDeleteSweet candle mat! I'm guessing there will be late Christmas mail this year!
ReplyDeleteTut, all that ice cream, you'll get tummy ache then won't be able to sit in front of the computer, think woman, think!
ReplyDeleteAh you crack me up! Icecream and blogging what a combination...I hope you are more successful today. Make sure you get my parcel posted - Australia is a long way from England, lol.
ReplyDeleteI made a concious decision just to enter the ones of people I follow....otherwise I would be there all day....I'm a bit of a drifter...even when things need doing!
ReplyDeleteI think you really are my long lost sister. I start the day with good intentions and get side tracked by blogs, email, Pinterest and the internet in general. Sometimes I just sit and day dream.
ReplyDeleteLove the candle mat my friend. At least you managed to get that done. I probably would have a achieved a big fat zero.
Oh I dont know susan, Ice cream? In this weather?! Brrrr... Lovely candlemat you've just knocked up there :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is far more than I got done today, I just did the blog hopping and entering giveaways! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG woman, you're a machine, and this is lovely. How on earth do you fit it all in, and with ice cream eating, now that's the kind of day i wish i'd had! : )
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful - I love your red stitching around the outside too!
ReplyDeleteHope you're successful in your giveaways-i didn't get to enter many, no time :-(

ReplyDeleteI too am looking at giveaways, no one would expect anything different.
ReplyDeleteLove the perle border.

ReplyDeleteI have so missed this giveaway thing - will have to put my thinking cap on!
