... but it was enough to get the girls out of bed without a grumble this morning. Amazing, the power of snow! Even as little as this. What on earth will my two do if they ever get the chance to see a proper Canadian snow storm? What will I do, for that matter? (It has been a long time since I have seen a 'real' winter.)
Meanwhile, the making continues. Today I have been doing some sewing. And making more garland. I am sort of in mass production. And I would have more bunting if I hadn't forgotten I need yarn to crochet it all together, and used every last bit of yarn making mini stars. Ooops!
Forgive the truly ick carpet. Rental properties rarely come with nice carpet. |
Pretty stars! I came home from walking Archie and looked like a yeti! A nithered one, at that!
ReplyDeleteWe saw cars coming up from Southam with snow but had nothing here in Rugby...how strange!
ReplyDeleteSnoooooooooooow! Oh I would have jumped with them and tried to build a snowman :D No, I was just kidding!
ReplyDeleteYou also have this nice carpets? I love them *gg*
Gorgeous garland, especially love the random red ones! Beeeautiful.
ReplyDeleteIf only you could have it snow every morning to get them going .. but then I guess it would stop working. Love the stars. Where will they end up?
ReplyDeletelovely star garland ,carpet looks ok from this distance ............yup we had snow too didnt get me out any quicker :))))
ReplyDeleteLove the garland, I started making stars this morning as planned, but only about 10 so far, so i need to get into production mode! : )
ReplyDeletethe cuteness!!!!
ReplyDeleteFinished some baubles, will have to make the garland!
ReplyDeleteI have my sight on lots of cute stars now! Love them!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow - even quite large flakes but they didn't settle!
I missed the majority of snow we had. Not that disappointed.
ReplyDeleteYippee snow! Yippee! It brightens a morning, doesn't it? Love it.
ReplyDeleteYour snowflake garland is just beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Keep going!
such cute bunting. Can't wait to see it hanging up on display...or is this a gift?
ReplyDeleteStrangely, 6 inches of snow fell in the Australian Alps yesterday!! Love the snowflake garlands!
ReplyDeleteSo there's your answer. Just make sure you lay in a supply of snow so you can get the girls out of bed every morning!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stars and a ton of them too...you have been a busy gal today.
I went for lunch and the snow had just started a little. 2" over lunch, I had to change to my boots to brush off the car as my shoes were under the snow and getting wrecked. Still coming down. I could send you some. Enjoy the lovely winter you are having there.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so hot here that I would love to see some snow - even if it was only a small amount! Your star garland looks lovely with the twine!
ReplyDeleteA skiffle of snow and the kids are excited! Your snowflakes look so nice. Where are you going to hang them? Di x
ReplyDeleteWe had a lot here this morning. My journey was terrible-I was presenting a training course and only one person turned up!!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the yarn snow flakes!
ReplyDeleteBrrr! No white stuff here thank goodness! And I have a carpet just like yours so watch what you're saying! LOL! Jxo

ReplyDeleteThere is a place that all rental places buy their paint and carpets, there must be! My house was newly carpeted just before we moved in with the exact same carpet as you have! I actually don't mind it though, my last place had cream carpets... Cream carpets + newborn growing to toddler = not good! This one so far has hidden every drink I have spilt on it ;) (I'm easily just as messy as my toddler!)
ReplyDeleteYay for every type of snowflake!
ReplyDeleteSNOW!!! Envious...carpet, not so much but mine is a filthy green so I win ;)
ReplyDeleteoh snow! guaranteed to get them going we have had rain all day freezing sleety rain and it is pants!
ReplyDeletelove your stars and the carpet is fine :))
I once had turquoise carpet. It was lovely. Please read this in the sarcastic voice it was typed. Showed. Every. Mark!! Matched nothing on the planet!! LOL
ReplyDeleteNew thought for a product for parents of teens. Backyard snow maker. Get the little buggers up every morning!!
I've never seen snow. Don't get it in my part of Australia. My brother has spent much of the last 6 years living in London and Canada, and much prefers the Canadian weather. His comment was it might be -15 but at least the sun still shines. Apparently England has grey skies and rains a lot!
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a 'real' winter 2 years ago? We nearly couldn't land at Bristol, there was so much snow (you know, a couple of inches!) Perhaps you need to go to Canada - just to check there is still snow there!
ReplyDeleteOh snow! how beautiful. I love your star garland it looks beautiful.
