Moving on from that wee rant.
I have posted my name tag to my swap partner today. I do hope she likes it and I look forward to meeting her at the retreat. I added in a little pin cushion because I suddenly was seeing all these packages arriving at people's homes with 'extras'. I was not prepared. So I quickly made a very simple pinnie but put in a HR gnome to try and make up for the simpleness.

| I too went for the lanyard. In fact there is no pin option on the back because none of my local sewing shops sold something so useful. But they did have the clasp I would need for the lanyard. Well, that made up my mind. If you are my partner and are reading this - hope you don't mind! |

ReplyDeleteYou became speckled? That used to happen to my brothers and I as we rode our bikes after a rain...only the speckles went up our backs.

I hate French knots too, I always do colonial knots now. With you on the weeding too, I have been doing some today and the mud gets everywhere! Hugs

I hate french knots too, have always hated them even when I was learning to embroider from my Grandmother when I was 5. You are doing great, they look awesome. I did not send much by way of extras, I wanted to keep the parcel as small as possible, your pincushion is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteThat's exactly why I don't join in swaps, I have no idea how much to send. The last private swap I did, she sent me LOADS of stuff and I'd just sent a bit so I felt guilty.
