Bee-Bop-a-Lula

Today I ticked another box in my long list of things to do. This task was a pleasure though. Terri, sent me an assortment of fabrics and we all got the instructions to make stars with at least eight points.

Included in my fabric were some HR pieces. In an attempt to fussy cut and make the most of them I have gone for simple stars. It honestly was not to make the task easy (really!), but so that Terri's precious hoard got the spotlight.

Two 12.5" blocks.

I promise, this block is not nearly as wonky as it looks.
I had to think for quite a while before I was sure I could make all
those wee gnomes be facing the same way.

Love the Jungle Book.
Makes me want to break out into song.
Something that no one else wants.
Because I can't sing for crap.

I am particularly pleased with the fussy cutting here.
Because you can't tell that there was a monkey
between the elephant and Mowgli.
And that is a full year of Brit Bee blocks completed. Just over a year ago I didn't know what an online bee was. I had never met the wonderful group of ladies that form Brit Bee. Now, I wouldn't be without them. They have provided support, inspiration and most of all friendship served up with huge doses of the most fabulous senses of humour. Thank you to every last one of them.

Susan
