The week before I came away there was some germ warfare going on in our household and I didn't get much sewing done. The problem was that I needed to bring a project up north with us as I will be leaving it behind when we return home.
So the day before we left home I sewed, and sewed, and sewed. I blessed the invention of frozen pizza, fed the girls and sewed some more. The goal was to have have four place mats almost done by the end of the day. I used some steel grey linen and Flea Market Fancy, with a little bit of other DS thrown in for good measure.
I did some hand stitching with perle as well as some straight line stitching and FMQ. It was a real hodge podge.
And sometime after dinner but before midnight I had the bindings attached by machine to the front of the place mats.
These were packed and the intention was to utilise the four hours on the train to stitch the bindings down on the back. Here's hoping I have some finished photos for you by the time I get home again!
Susan
