I have actually put head down and concentrated (for a change), and all the pouches are made for Helen's teachers. Phew! All I have to do is buy some chocolates now, and put some in each pouch. Job done!
Meanwhile, the girls came home with the trebuchets they made at school. Being a politically correct, safety conscience mother I refused to allow them to use them.
Yeah right! They went to war and I only got upset when they started hitting the window with stones instead of each other.
Susan
Do the goggles have a purpose? Or is this the latest fashion trend?
ReplyDeleteThe pouches look great and your girls are adorable in their goggles (kinda Steampunk-ish) =)
ReplyDeleteToo cute
Is Laura too young to remember what happened to PJ in Byker grove? ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove those pouches!
My kids did trebuchets, too, flinging all kinds of stuff all over. I was glad the trebuchets were small other wise they'd be trying to duplicate the video they saw of a flying and then gloriously smashing piano! Love those little pouches. Do you have a favorite tutorial you follow,or do you just wing it?
ReplyDeletePouches look gorgeous and love the H&S goggles on the girls!
ReplyDeleteAh! Your pouches are lovely....so pretty to see them together! What clever girls you have!
ReplyDeleteI love the safety goggles, but it is time to get them proper construction/carpentry safety goggles as I see much building in their futures. Maybe a much larger model. And you are rocking the zipper pouches!
ReplyDeleteHa ha - you wait to see what I've been making today!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike! Although yours look significantly neater and more prettily finished than mine.

ReplyDeleteVery impressed.
That was quick Susan! We saw big trebuchets at Warwick yesterday! Gad to see the girls having safe fun but I really think it should be mud rather than stones - much more satisfying when you get a hit though not so authentic!
ReplyDeleteEee! Look at those pouches! What lucky teachers your girls have!
ReplyDeleteThey're hilarious with their safety goggles. That's fantastic!
Fantastic pouches, Susan, it always amazes me how everyone else whizzes these things up in about a tenth of the time it would take me! :-)

ReplyDeleteThe pouches look fantastic. Im starting to think you're a bit of an over achiever. I don't think Miss P's teachers ever got a gift.
hahah - we had to use a trebuchet (firing ping pong balls a certain distance) at the end of a long training course (6 Sigma black belt course)and do a presentation backed up with 6 Sigma principles of statistical certainty - omg - what a laugh - let's just say i ended up juggling the ping pong balls because it had gone so badly!
ReplyDeletelove the pouches - very posh!
The pouches look great all stacked up, how will you part with them? They must have been very good teachers! A little knowledge of battle tactics isn't a bad thing.
