Why?!

Remember my happy space last week? It is slightly less happy this week, because my brand new, I absolutely love it computer froze, then died. Yup! It came with a corrupted file and refuses to work now. As you can imagine, I am less than pleased. It means that my keeping up on blog reading and emails will go to pot again because I will have to use the shared by all extra computer that isn't in any space that I inhabit on a daily basis. Upstairs in the office, away from my sewing, and cooking, and relaxing space. My laptop has to go back to the manufacturer for fixing or replacing. Who knows when I will see it again.

So, I hope you understand but I am in a mood. Being in a mood does not preclude sewing though. I shall show you a photo of what I accomplised this morning.

That would be 84 HSTs all cut, sewn and trimmed. Half of what I require. Things are happening around here. Just not on the computer.

  4. What a stinker of a thing to happen! I'd be annoyed too ...

At least you achieved something in the sewing stakes. I have 81 postage stamp blocks to trim tomorrow but seeing as how you had some practice today maybe you can pop over and give me a hand?

  16. What a bummer - on the plus side you will probably get so much more done. I find I while away too much time on the computer. Love all the colours in your HST too.

  22. Gosh that just makes you want to cry doesn't it! It takes some of the shiny glamour and giddy excitement of the "new" away, but while your blog reading/commenting will suffer, it gives you more time for sewing, with less distractions, right??
And those hst's are stunning! So vibrant against the grey.

  24. Down with computers! The HSTs are excellent though. Maybe you could instigate some form of offline blogging (you could send Polaroids of your sewing endeavours and people could mail you notes back letting you know how lovely they are)?

  27. Ooh pretty! I missed your happy space (I think) but glad you had one. Sorry to hear about the computer - really, if these things happen in the first 28 days they shouldn't be fixed, they should just be replaced!!

  29. Trimming would not make me any happier if I was you! Sorry to hear about your computer, I feel your pain. I'm still waiting to hear if my pyromaniac brand new sewing machine is ever coming back to me...

  30. if it makes you feel any better I am still using my daughters "2 lap tops ago" which keeps crashing. I got a new windows surface for Christmas but the extension lead is too small, it is too complicated, the screen is too small etc etc. Don't tell my husband though, he would be so hurt.
    ps love the hsq collection
