Refresh Button

So, who out there, in the UK side of you all was on IG last night hitting the refresh button as fast as you could in...

Seriouisly, I did not know what I had bought by the end of it. I am still not sure. It's going to be some happy post days in the not too distant future though. I'll show you what I managed to buy when it is all here. Not nearly as much as I tried to buy, mind you. I couldn't type in 'Me' fast enough for some of the fabric on sale. What a fun evening though. And - get this - himself said to me beforehand, 'Don't sell any of your fabric and buy what you like.' Huh?! Not sure what I put in his dinner that caused this but must figure it out and put it in more often!

Not to forget, I stumbled into my lqs on Friday after a flat tyre and all that fun, having completely lost the will to control my spending. I went in for two FQs and some machine needles.

In a strange twist of fate I came out with more. What cane I say? They had some old favourites still in stock and some lovely new lines in. I could not resist.

Finally, I have been doing more HST trimming. The colours are still making me happy.

  6. Rainbow trimmings - very satisfying to look and such a beautiful pile of scraps, and know you're making progress. I have some trimming to do myself today - tedious work but unfortunately necessary (unless you'd like to come and do it for me ?)

Cant wait to see what you bought fabric wise !

  8. It'll be like your birthday when you finally get all the stuff you bought through! I was following it all as a spectator. I do wonder about IG though because Emily - strawberry patch says she didn't win on one thread of Fiona's and yet on my feed she's the first person to say she wanted it. Hmmm

  10. I'm really struggling to comment on your blog - this and post the other day. It keeps saying bloggers become unresponsive and won't post?

Anyway, I watched all the IG activity as a spectator. It'll be like Christmas when what you bought arrives! I do wonder about IG commenting though. Emily clearly says on one of Fiona's that she's not won it but according to my feed she's the first person to comment.

  12. Ha ha I know you bought a lot because every time I looked at some pretty fabric on Instagram you had already bagged it! And why not - your stash is going to be v impressive after this. Really looking forward to seeing the final haul photo.

Love the photo after the HST trimming - who would ever think that something destined for the bin could be so pretty!

  18. I got a much longed for and missed first time round fat 8th bundle. And a lovely wee pile from Miss Emily. So I am very happy but virtuous! Could (tried!) have spent a fortune.

I completely failed on the UK destash - I had two lots of clients on Sunday and I was about ready for bed by 7pm, not starting to sell and buy fabric. Can't wait to see what changed hands though!

  28. It was loads of fun....I thought I'd bought a jelly roll, but hadn't...so now I'll have a hopscotch pattern and no jelly roll : o( But I did buy some lovely stuff ... Took me a while to realise that I wasn't first, even though it looked like I was! But that saved me some money

  29. Nice fabric shopping. Sunday evening was such fun. I couldn't beep up. I loved the post of the fabric stash that one hubby put up for £0.01. I lol and my man couldn't believe that a hubby would dare do that! Your husband was far kinder. Di x
