The Arrival of Autumn...
...heralds the desire to hand quilt again. It is a cold, wet and grey day outside today. I am happy inside, tucked up under my Stitch Tease quilt slowly adding more rows of hand stitching to it.
Thank you for everyone who left a comment yesterday. You convinced me to abandon my doodling trying to think of a different star and stick with my original idea. It would be finished now too, if I wasn't so happy tucked up under my quilt.

Dude! Gimme hand quilting advice, please. Do you pin or thread baste? Hoop or no. Start in middle and work out as normal? (unless you're a rebel like me. *g*) My first hand quilting on an actual quilt looms large and I could use a little hand holding!
ReplyDeletelove your colours and your patience in handquilting :)
ReplyDeleteNever mind the Pearly Kings, you're the Perle Queen!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is cold, wet, and gray here too - hmm, maybe I'll try your idea!

ReplyDeletehehe this comment comes to you from my bed! I'm still trying to shake this cough, and fresh bedsheets were just too inviting. I have some epp here though, I'm making a gift for someone that includes a star, though its just an 8 pointed one, not particulary unusual!
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching xx
Sounds like a wonderful way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteBest use of your time if you ask me! Looks fab!
ReplyDeleteOh yes being snuggled under a quilt and hand stitching is the perfect place to be right now brrrr!
ReplyDeleteDespite the fact we are half way through Spring - its cold here too this morning. Hand sewing and snuggled up on the couch is definitely part of my plan for today!
ReplyDeleteKeep at it xxx
ReplyDeleteAhh, yesterday's peeing rain blew down your way then! If it follows the pattern from here, it'll have blown through again soon!
ReplyDeleteIt was the right thing to do, and today too, it's horrible out there, best stay in and do some more! x
ReplyDeleteStay under the quilt. It is the best place to be. Di x
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is lovely and sounds cozy to do. I love your star from yesterday, I am glad you did not abandon it.
ReplyDeleteI have a line up of quilts I'd like to hand quilt but it's already too hot here. We've completely missed spring and straight into summer.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a lovely way to spend a miserable weather day.
You are the best hand quilter. Your projects are always so pretty.
