Rewriting the List

I'm jumping the gun a bit here but as I will be away from the computer in coming days I thought jumping the gun would be acceptable. It is time to put down in writing the projects that I would like to finish up in Q2 of the FAL. For a brief moment I actually thought that I had little to nothing to place upon this list. Lots of ideas hopping about my brain, but not so much actually started and waiting to be finished.

What a fool I am! I had a little look round and here are the projects I would like to finish before the end of June.

1. My FMF epp makes the list yet again. Someone has planted a seed of an idea which would suddenly turn it into a bigger project. I am sat here with my fingers in my ears chanting 'lalalalalalala' and telling myself a table runner would be good.

2. My Siblings Together quilt needs binding and a label made. This will be done as it will be going to a child this summer.

3. My Walk in the Woods epp star needs to become a quilt. Background fabric needs sorting, as does backing fabric and binding. At least I have wadding!

4. Then there is the matter of another epp project I have been working on. This will need a fair number of hexies sewing still and then I can turn them into...    well...    something.

5. I hadn't even shown the start of the next project yet, but it is a sure fire finish as it will eventually be a set of four place mats for my mother's birthday present. There might be a little panicked sewing happening at the very beginning of this FAL!

6. This one is a biggie! I am taking a big leap of faith in myself and saying I will do my Brit Bee Round Two quilt in the next three months. I want to so that I can take it to the Retreat with me and show it off because the blocks made by my bee pals are simply amazing! Here's an example of just one - and I have a lot in a tonne of different sizes. I come up with these plans without ever having a clue how I am going to fit them all together. But fit they will because they deserve to be a quilt, not blocks in waiting.

7. Seeing how the Brit Bee project is on the list I might as well add in the Modern Stitching Bee blocks I have. Lots and lots of churn dashes.

I could probably come up with more projects but, sensibly, I will stop now while there is a chance of me doing enough to stave off humiliation. I am looking forward to getting these projects done though.

I will be linking this post up with Leanne and all the other fabulous FAL participants when I get back from my mum's. Meanwhile I am out gallivanting with the girls.

Susan

  19. Better take some stitching with you, while gallivanting !! Personally I'd love to see the churndash blocks made into a quilt- at least they'd be machined rather than hand sewn! Good luck with your FAL!
