This is so completely different than any of my other quilts.
I have to admit I do like the back - imperfections and all.
The binding is in the blues and greys because that was all that was left from the jelly roll.
Funny how it took finishing to make me like it again.
No finished quilt photo shoot would be complete without one of it rolled up.
So now I am free to turn my hand to other projects with equally pressing deadlines. In pursuit of this I went by the quilt shop today to pick up some more wadding. I also had a £20 gift token for fabric. (Achieved from spending £200, but we won't talk about that!) I had a good look around and decided on this heavier weight to make a tote bag for John's sister.
And then I bought one wee FQ all for myself. Just because I have been so very, very good about my fabric buying for a very long time now. So it was a small treat, and the gift voucher covered most of the cost of the fabric. So that made it okay, right?!
Right then, I have a quilt to finish hand quilting, a tote bag to make, a cushion or two to construct, some small gifts to make, oh, and another quilt to get to the basting stage at the very least. Suppose I had better get away from the computer and get on with it then.
