I am still working on my hand stitching project, now on the last block and debating whether I need/should do a line of hand stitching all around the border. The quilter in me says do it because it will tie it all in together. The person trying to get it finished for Christmas says, 'Oh please!'
The decision has not yet been made. I am going to finish the last block first and see if I can tick a few more boxes off my list of other things to do. I still have himself's family to make things for, and a couple of my family members too. I wonder who my latest finish could be for?
More Etchings. This time I broke into my charm pack as well as using up scraps. |
Some perle cotton detail. |
I've used unbleached cotton for the back. I rather like the contrast between the unbleached and the Etchings. |
And then I stuffed it full with a cushion innard purchased from Denholm Mill, which I can do now that they have an outlet in Banbury. |
I will leave you with a hint of why I am smiling a lot today, besides the fact that I am alone. One of my Christmas presents has been purchased.
Susan
