But here is the reality of the weather report for this weekend -
Me in a tent. All weekend. OMG! And there is no getting out of it, no matter how much I whinge. Trust me, I've tried! So you have a great weekend. And please pray that the weatherman has got it so wrong that I might not drown after all.
Susan
Oh good luck! Chief once phoned me whilst I was in M&S an told me quite graphically what he'd do to me if I ever suggested we go camping! Phew!!! I hope he remembers that forever because I've got no burning urge to do less than 3 star hotel lol
ReplyDeleteOMG - I am chuckling away here, I can sympathise I know exactly what it is going to be like..sorry can't stop laughing. We use to travel around France, on a motorbike, with all our camping gear. We once set the tent up and it thundered and lightened for two days, with the rain coming down in sheets....and we were in a small tent you couldn't even stand up in...oh you will love it. Still rolling on the floor here... tee hee. :-), :-), :-)
ReplyDeleteOh dear! At least in Melbourne its going to be 4 degrees and I'm not going anywhere! Certainly not anywhere on my bike! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteThat is all :o)
Oh dear....is there really no way out? Mind you I have very happy memories of lying in a tent in the Lake District in the pouring rain spending our time preparing copious quantities of cuppasoups and nearly giving ourselves monosodium glutamate poisoning.
ReplyDeleteI hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as you think it might....and if it's looking that way then cry and insist on decamping to a b&b!! (or the pub!!)
Bring the quilts and mittens help too when camping in the rain.
ReplyDeleteLOL....not funny!!! I know. I don't envy you at all Susan. I hate a tent at the best of times. It is suppose to rain here all weekend too. Starting now; didn't get my Friday mowing done..that means messy grass next week to work at. Oh well...we really badly need the rain..I am running around watering flowers and vegetable plants everyday....so; have to deal with it, eh. Try to have fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to the drought?
ReplyDeleteIt can be misserable to camp in the rain...but it make for great family stories.
Oh, my! A tent and rain don't go well together. Actually, a tent and me in any weather don't do well at all. Hopefully, fingers crossed, it won't be as bad as it is predicted to be. You make me laugh (not AT you, of course) and hope you don't "drown."
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You may need lots of it!
ReplyDeleteGood luck is all I can say. Take plenty of warm clothes and sleep in the car! I only made one condition when I agreed to marry my husband and this was I DON'T CAMP. Well I ask you, have you ever found an electric plug inside a tent? I hope that you have sunshine and few showers!
ReplyDeleteDi x
Aww good luck! Wine helps! Trust me, I know ;)
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to go camping! Hope the weather stays good or actually gets good for you! X
ReplyDeleteAre you any good at swimming :o)? I know, not much help am I?!
ReplyDeleteGroan! No amount of money would get me in a tent, wet or dry! We've had so much rain here today I'm half expecting Noah to sail past my window in his ark! Jxo
ReplyDeleteUh oh! Hope it all turns out to be a great weekend and the weather doesn't defeat you
ReplyDeleteHehehehe :-) Could be worse. If you had a dog you'd be stuck in a small tent with wet-dog smell....
ReplyDeleteHave you packed your lilo?
ReplyDeleteWill keep my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Poor thing!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I hope you haven't blown away already! I think it's a bit late to wish you luck, only several boxes of wine and a dry tarmac parking space to sleep in the car!
ReplyDeleteIt will be awesome! Just take plenty of hand sewing...
ReplyDeleteAnd wine. Wine is important.
DeleteOh dear god, I hope you have lots of booze to take away the pain, hundreds of fleece blankets, and LOTS of waterproofs, including wellies...
ReplyDeleteYour poor thing- I hope you laid in a supply of wine and lots of warm clothes. Camping in the rain is the absolute pits. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it snows - surely Mr. Susan would call it off if that happened?
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip. Hope the weather improves. We are hoping to avoid the rain tomorrow at the Highland games... but I taking my tent, umbrella, rain ponchos, etc.....
ReplyDeleteSend out the emergency services!
ReplyDeletecamping the rain sounds horrible. Shay's wine and warm clothes sound good for making just about any weekend work. Hope you can have fun anyway.
ReplyDeleteAren't you a bit old for the Isle of Wight Festival??
ReplyDeleteBig Bro
oh man camping! I have done it once and had a v sore back and a bawling baby, never again! Really hope you don't get caught in all this awful British weather. Love the comment about taking hand sewing and wine! All will be well with these essentials! x glad the pic is back x
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing I can say except good luck!
ReplyDeleteI hope you packed your flippers and snorkel or you won't be able to get out of the tent! I also hope you packed plenty of chocolate and wine...
