Taking My Own Advise

Having found out the true value of a colour card over a week ago when I ordered thread to match some Oakshott colourshott FQs from Aurifil using their colour card, I knew that there was nothing for it but for me to get myself a Kona colour card too.


Okay, now I know why they make these things. (a) So we can see the variances of shades between the colours and get just the right one we need, and (b) so that I would covet more and more solids. I need (yes, need) some azalea, cyan, citrus, sour apple, torch...      ... and the list goes on. It's like being tortured by colour.

    And an other good reason to get shopping. But to be honest my stash of solids is empty and everyone needs a good variation in solids

    I've got the Kona and Bella solids one. I use them often when looking for coordinating backgrounds. Really wanting a thread one too now!

    I can see exactly why these are so helpful, but there is a part of me that thinks it's just rude to charge people so they can buy your product and you can make profit off of them!

    Whenever I happen to be buying fabric online, that particular store always is out of the Kona color cards. Whichever I order from, they're out. I do have the Aurifil card however. And I have to say that citrus is probably my favorite yellow solid of all time.

    Those little color cards are just heaven. I don't know where I'd be without them. I do know, though, where there's a bit of azalea for you, though :)
