Plans

I've got plans. Long distance, no one in this house has any idea what I'm thinking plans. That's because we have a rather large shed going up in our garden.

Bits of shed are being propped up or laid down wherever the shed building boys can find. I'll leave them to that why I sit warm and dry inside and plan. Plan for the day that I have a good clear out and the shed is not required to store everything and anything. For the day that I can get it insulated, and heated, and electricity run out to it. Because when that day happens that shed will be mine all mine. Himself sees a shed going up. I see a sewing annex. How would you  see it?

  1. The first thing I thought before reading your post is that it's perfect for a quilting frame. Maybe you need two sheds? Who needs room for those girls to play? Not you, I say!

  2. I would see it as a bolt hole away from THEM. And I say that with love as a wife and mother. *g*

  6. I either see a sewing annexe or a bedroom for one of the girls so you can take over their bedroom...what I definitely don't see is a shed!

  7. I'm looking at it longingly, wishing a sewing annex would miraculously appear in my garden. Or my neighbord will move out of the small unit that is attached to my house so I can take over... Lovely ideas! :-)

  14. You may have a fight on your hands over that one. Buy more fabric and leave it all round the house and they may just *force* you to relocate to the shed ;-)

  25. It's a new long arm base. He can use the garage, it's not like there's cars in it, and it's double sized ;o)

  26. Of course it's a sewing room - any one would be silly to think it could be anything else.

  27. I would see my own little back yard studio, with window boxes and a comfy chair by the window and shelves of fabric and my sewing machine in the middle!

  28. Obviously this is going to be a sewing room. How kind of your husband to put it up for you. When it is up and decorated you simply move all your things inside when everyone is at work/school. Possession is all!!

  29. It's a sewing room. I can't believe you feel the need to ask!

  30. I'm with you AND Lynz above. I love my family, but oh deep joy at the thought of your own space. If I had a shed, they'd be less likely to come and find me....

  31. I hope the clear out can start right away so you can move the sewing in soon.

  32. It looks enormous - does he have enough stuff to fill it? I can't imagine sewing anywhere except in the centre of the house but then my children are younger, there will be a time to escape I'm sure! Happy dreams for you!

  37. Sewing studio for sure, especially sine you are now a published sewist. (The first comment auto corrected to say you are a published sexist) ha!

  38. Looks like a pretty massive shed there.

  39. Right, you need to have a conversation that goes a little like this......"The more space we have for shit the more shit we will accumulate. Therefore, in the hope of reducing out shit collecting I'm claiming the shed/studio as my own. OK?"

As soon as you fill that shed with shit it will be very difficult to empty it - claim it NOW!!!!
