Today I concentrated on catching up on a couple more bee commitments. Happily I can tick two more boxes.
First up was Hadley's massive 24" block for Brit Bee. As she used her Sissix to cut the HSTs there was no trimming required so this block was not nearly as much work as you might think. I love her choice of greys and blacks paired with pinks and oranges.
This was followed by two Quatrefoil blocks from the Modern Blocks quilting book. These were fun and easy as well, as I did most of it string piecing and they went together a treat. These are for Jennie - Clover and Violet - and she asked for a white background with bright fabrics. Definitely something you can find a bit of in my stash.
Next, I need to move on to my Stitch Tease blocks and work on these more. These are the blocks that we are not allowed to show until the final reveal in April. They are massive blocks, and many of them involve lots of inspirational thought and planning. Love a good challenge I do!

Such a good girl! You deserve some chocolate after all your hard work!
I've been bee-ing good too! I love your quatrefoils and of course that diamond - what was it called again? ;^)
Helen's right you deserve chocolate!
Great blocks, I love Hadley's colour choice and Nicky cracks me up!
So much gorgeousness!!!!!! You're a very energetic lady.
I think I've done well if I manage one bee block in a day - you knock those things out at a rate of knots! I'm struggling with Stitch Tease blocks - I think I'm one behind at the moment and keep putting off and putting off!
looks like you are off to a great start for the year. your bee blocks are perfect.
i love Hadley's color choices and I must get that HST die cutter.

A very good girl. Chocolate and wine should be your reward.
Aww, man, I rely on the trimming for it to come out measured right lol
Hadley’s block is very visually busy but I love it. That’s going to be a lovely quilt top!
The Quatrefoil blocks are fabulous too. All that colour is much more my style . No shortage of loud in your face fabrics here.
Planning a rather large sewing assault here for the weekend...we’ll see if that actually pans out. Im big on talking it up not so good on follow through at the moment!
You are a busy bee! (Ooops, nearly said a busy body!!!) The quatre foil blocks were fun to make! Have you thought of what block you want next month?
Great blocks, especially like Hadley's. I bet it's very satisfying to get these done.

Bee-youtiful blocks. Those colours are delicious...Jennie is a lucky ducky!
Gorgeous work, as always!
Hadley's block is lovely - is that block the one from the Modern Blocks book? I was thinking of making my mum's quilt using that design until I slapped myself across the face and saw sense!
Yeah for bee day! Loving the Mod Stitching blocks - they're so pretty. The cheek on Hadders always asking for huge blocks. Ha! I love her sense of design and color. They're beautifully made, S!
Good girl you do beautiful work! Loving those Bee blocks.
I just love the HST block for Hadley! The colours are gorgeous. May have to add this to the massive list of potential quilts. :)
