I'm Back!

Well, here I am back at home. Proof positive to this is that the washing machine is churning away and dinner is cooking - prepared by me. Yup, the holiday is most definitely over. We had a great time, but I am not going to tell you about it today. Far more important things to talk about.

Like the In the Frame Purse Swap.

Nicky and Helen have done a brilliant job of organising this swap, and I am just sorry I have had one of the busiest July's I have had in years which meant I wasn't as chatty as I usually am. But that didn't stop me from loving the swap.

Then I went on holiday and had to wait until I came home to open my parcel. I am not good at patience. It near killed me! But I am home now and that parcel was opened before my shoes were off or the car unpacked.

I got so lucky! I had the uber-mama Nicky herself as my secret partner. I love the stuff Nicky makes. Seriously, ask her, and she will tell you how I go on. Now I have this from her (silly grin happening here)!

Emily offered up her services to show the purse with a person as she thought people should see how big it is. I also think she wanted a quick play with it again. Don't say I blame her, though I whipped it out her hands sharpish once the photo was taken. That purse is mine and only mine. I cannot express how beautiful it is in person enough. The piecing and stitching and the everything. Honestly, I am going to go make another one for my partner because I just think I should having seen this.

If you look at the first photo in the mosaic you will see that Nicky sent me some key fob hardware and a wee little frame for another purse (think I need the practice!), a sweet notebook she made and a great piece of Heather Ross for my collection. You would think that was enough, wouldn't you? Well, I did and then I realised she had made me a shopping bag to die for too.

Camper vans! I have died and gone to heaven because the purse would have just about kept me happy for about forever but camper vans too?! Nicky knows how much I love her FMQ embroidery skills. And she put them to good use here. I am not sure if you will be able to pick up the details in my photos but four of those vans have personalised licence plates.

Coming home to this parcel makes the laundry and return to cooking a doddle. Thank you so much Nicky. You have made my day week month.

Susan x
