It was all about down time, beach time...
... avoiding the rain time. One direction you looked it would be sunny and cheerful, the other black clouds threatened. Unfortunately all too often in the first few days those clouds were headed towards us, not away.
It was about time with their uncle, on the beach, in the playground, in his workshop and with his rabbit - Humphrey.
It was about still being young enough to love a good playground.
There was some crafty time for me. Not a lot but I did get 95 hexies basted. And played with my Summersville too. So did the girls - play with my Summersville that is. I shall get photos of their efforts at another time and update you to how far I got with mine. Oh, and a new book, and some Vintage Modern found in the most old fashioned quilt shop I have been into in a long time. Think copious amounts of flannel, batiks and civil war prints and try not to shudder.
It was about me finally falling for Instagram. I blame Laura Jane personally. But she was right, I do love it. Lots more to figure out on it and most likely won't use it quite so much now that I am home and in a routine again, but it is good fun. I can be found at canadianabroad there, in case you get curious.
It was a great holiday. There was lots more stuff but, come on, I can't tell you every moment. Just that we had fun. And that we have the perfect cure when you go blue after being in the North Sea too long. Oh, and we went to the most amazing castle. But more on that another day. That castle deserves a post of its own.
Susan
