Ooops! I Did It Again

I started a new project. It isn't like the list of things to do is the length of my arm or anything. It's longer, I think. And I have firm intentions of getting right on with that list - tomorrow. Today I indulged myself.

Every house needs a Christmas quilt, don't they? I pulled out my precious F8 bundle of Aneela Hoey's Cherry Christmas, made some templates and got cutting. Before domestic chores like making dinner and the ironing pile interupted I got this far in the piecing.

This is going to be my Christmas Tree Farm quilt. If you look closely you will notice that not all the trees on the farm are growing at the same rate. There are still a lot more trees to plant, but I am rather happy with my little divergence from 'the list' today. Back to the necessary tasks in the morning.

I will be in the house alone tomorrow as the girls go back to school, half term having ended. I will even get more than ten minutes at a time on this computer again. Now there's a thought!

  3. I have no comment - as the queen of starts I heartily feel your need for divergence...who gives a toss about what 'should' be done, it will still be there tomorrow, waiting...

  4. Every quilter's home should have a Cherry Christmas quilt, it is the law, so you are only stopping yourself from being locked up! xxx

  6. Of course every house needs a Christmas quilt and you're only being a total saint making one :) I would actually say you're obliged to make one if you haven't got one already.

  8. Is this THE Christmas quilt? In which case it's certainly a necessity rather than luxury :-) and everyone needs a bit of Cherry Christmas. I'm about to start my second one this week, having stupidly sold the first one hehehe.

  9. It's going to be a beauty...and we all deserve to start something new and fabulous when the mood strikes. Nothing like a new project for re-infusing the mojo at bit.

It would have been sandwiches or a Macca's run at my place for tea if I was in the middle of a new project.

  11. There is definitely a need for a Christmas quilt! It should take precedence over pretty much everything! I love the little Christmas trees, and it's going to be very cute :-)
