Things That Make You Smile

First up, I shall mention something that does not make me smile. Having to go for a paddle to unload the groceries from the back of the car today. On the other hand, I didn't have to drive home in weather like this yesterday and that does make me smile.

I came home to post that most definitely makes me smile though. One parcel was totally unexpected and came from far off lands where scenes like shown above are not so common. The lovely Annabella - often mentioned as my first bloggy friend - sent me a gift as a cheer me up, just because, get ready for the season approaching present. Annabella is fabulous and if you don't read her blog already then really you should. Not only does she sew beautiful things but she takes the most amazing photographs in Morocco.

I now have a tote just for my Christmas running about. I love it! I also love her labels. One of these days I am going to get round to having labels of my own. One day. So a huge thank you to Annabella. Thanks for being my real life friend as well as my bloggy friend.

If that is not enough HSTs for you in that lovely tote, then get a look at my latest bee block to be sent by the uber cool Laura Jane. She did me a massive swoon block and what's not to love here?! I am starting to get really excited about my bee quilt as the blocks roll in. I hope they look as good together in reality as they do in my imagination.

And that is all to report today. Rain, endless rain, which sort of turned to slush for a while. Nooooooo! And lovely sewing things. Yes!

Susan
