I also think that this list will be shorter than it might as my brain has melted in the heat (and the stupid birds waking me at 5am each morning!). Rather than going poking round and seeing how many things I have started and not finished I'm just going to sit here and pluck the obvious from my brain.
So, without further ago, here's what I would really like done by the end of September -
Heather Ross Fan Club quilt. This awaits the backing and binding, which will arrive when the yardage for Briar Rose is released.
Good Morning Star Shine awaits another round of LV charms and then all the rest of the usual.
My epp starflowers, as it seems to be a tradition that I put them on every list and then ignore them.
Some Bee quilts.
Churn Dash from the Modern Stitching Bee -
Stars from Brit Bee -
My Stitch Tease quilt which I haven't named yet -
Let's not forget the Walk in the Woods quilt that I am also hand quilting.
You know what? I'm going to stop there. I am scaring the crap out of myself with how much I have on the go. And here was me thinking that the list wouldn't be long. Suppose I had best ban myself from starting something new.
As ever I am linking up with Leanne at She Can Quilt - or fabulous mama in the Finish-a-Long. It's always nice to see what everyone else is up to as well. I especially appreciate those who have lists longer than I do.
Susan
Wishful thinking list - I like it. I should post mine, but I'm also scared the list would be too long!
ReplyDeleteCatrin
It's not starting something new that is the problem for me. I have loads of ideas! Good luck with the list.
ReplyDeleteStart-itis is what paralyses me from publishing a 'to-do' list. You have such pretty projects here that I'm sure, once FQR ( and accompanying visitors) are done with, you will tackle with renewed vigour!!
ReplyDeleteOohhh such amazing projects, finish them all!! Ban the starts (as if that ever works!). I'm with you about the birds. I love them but not the racket at 5am!!
ReplyDeleteHi! Looks so beautiful! Good luck with your list! I don't even try to make list - not so many wips but so long wishlist. Also here it's too hot! x Teje
ReplyDeleteGood luck with it all!
ReplyDeleteOoh, you've got a big list there, but there are some absolutely gorgeous ones on the list! Do you need some more LV charms for the quilt, I've got quite a lot of LV fabrics and charms, if you want me to bring you some, can bring them to Retreat if it helps? :o)
ReplyDeleteIt is rather amazing how big a list you can get without even looking, I can do that too. I hope you get some done as they are all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a list of lovelies ;) Do what you can, the rest will patiently wait their turn. xx
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to have a list of UFO's with lots of variety - that way you can work on whatever you're in the mood for.
ReplyDeleteThat Heather Ross fan club quilt takes my breath away every time! I loooooove it! Do you follow any specific tutorial for hand quilting? I want to try it out soon but with a combination of machine sewing (and wasn't sure what stitches so in first - machine I'm guessing?). Your stitches looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing your list
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a list and will certainly keep you out of trouble for the next three months! Which are you concentrating on first?!
ReplyDeleteThink my fav is the LV one! They are all gorgeous - yes stop starting stuff if you can!
ReplyDeleteGlad that mine is not the only wish list!
ReplyDeleteYou have some wonderful stuff to finish here...and of course my fav would be the HR quilt.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I was awoken by a sqwarking owl at 1am this morning... BIRDS.
ReplyDeleteGreat list - should keep you honest...thinking I should post a list too, might then make me do something, lol.
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing wish list! Cannot wait to see how you progress with all these projects!
ReplyDeleteGreat list and lovely wips! Good idea to quit while you are ahead! Jxo
ReplyDeleteSo many great projects on your list, I'd probably spend ages deciding which one to finish first which is why I'm not doing a list of my own ;)Your star shine and the epp are making me want to start new projects.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely list Susan. I love your flea market fancy EPPs and your hand quilting. I think I need to sub-divide my to-do list into:
ReplyDelete(1) "Items with a genuine chance of being finished before the decade is out"; and
(2) "No chance - but feel free to stroke the fabric from time to time".
Your EPPs make me want to get some hand sewing out. I love hexies and joining the little rosettes but find that my patience runs out as soon as I have to join them up into something bigger (and more useful).
your feelings about your EPP starflowers are precisely why I don't take part in the Finish-A-Long!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with that lot! I kept scrolling down thinking oh my! I don't join the FAL anymore because I have stuff like your star flowers that would just on the list time and time again.
ReplyDeletewow that there is a long list of gorgeousness!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your progress :)
Doesn't matter if you finish any of these. I just liked the little photo summary of what you have going on over there. Such pretty goodness!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to stop starting, if you know what I mean!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! Ignore what you need to and work hard on the rest.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the scaring the crap outta yourself thing. Right now I feel like I have so many projects racked up behind me that Im never going to get them all done.
Great list and very scary but I think Nicky still beats you hands down on the ridiculously scary!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove it all.
ReplyDeleteA lovely collection of projects Susan - good luck with your list!
ReplyDeleteLove all the projects!Good Luck!
