Finally, I've done a little bit of sewing. Yay! Not a lot to show you. One for the Birds is now officially 28" x 30" big as a quilt top. Obviously a long way to go. But it did take a tiny step in the right direction. And I do like the way it is looking in its absolute randomness of the piecing.
And, get this, it even stopped raining for a little while (we won't discuss the forecast). The sun came out and I got to use my traditional photo place - the trampoline. Honestly, if I tell you I made ice cream today too you will think there is too much good stuff going on. So I will tell you about the ice cream tomorrow.
The birds are looking wonderful, carry on. And ice cream, well maybe it was summer for a bit?ReplyDelete
They look great!!ReplyDelete
Cute little bird quilt! I like the different birds scattered about--nice! Ice cream? Homemade ice cream? We only make that on the 4th of July, but maybe I need to rethink that. :O)ReplyDelete
beautiful i love the bird on the sofa block .................ice cream too yummy !!ReplyDelete
Oh wow this looks fab. I wondered how you'd get over the whole random sized blocks. And I think all the good stuff sewing and food wise happens at yours!ReplyDelete
Mmm, ice cream! Hope your fingers didn't get too cold with all that checking if it was done! Bonza birdies too :)ReplyDelete
I'll fly with you! Specially if there is ice cream at the end!ReplyDelete

This quilt is random at it's very best - keep at it 'cos it's really lovely!ReplyDelete
I am possibly, probably, officially gonna huff if that ice-cream is for Sunday. Won't be reading your next post in a jealous protest (sticking tongue out like toddler and blowing huffy raspberry now).
Oooh they are looking great, carry on!ReplyDelete
It's definitely warmer here than where you are, but it's just as wet if not wetter! Definitely not ice cream weather.
This is looking so lovely Susan!ReplyDelete
