Today is Cancelled

Because I am sulking.

I will be found trying to console myself with this.

Hope your day starts better than mine.

Oh nooooooooooooooooooo. Bloody iPhones, they have a tendency to shatter when they are dropped, stood on etc. I think it calls for a combination of chocolate and plenty of alcohol.

Oh no! Phone around house insurance/apple/mobile phone provider for cheapest replacement option. Mine was to go through orange, but for some reason it was cheaper for my husband to go through apple for a reconditioned one.

Judith, Belfast said...

Oh bummer! Hope you get it replaced soon, otherwise you will run out of chocolate! Jxo

Collette said...

oh noes!!!! hope you get something sorted out soon x

That is crap, bloody crappy iPhone screens! Still at least the screen is salvageable, I dropped my last one down the bog ;-)

Oh sh*t! I do know that it's about £170 for iPhone 5 screen apple store cheapest! Check house insurance, and stock up on more chocolate! How'd it happen?

Tabatha said...

Bring it to the Apple store, here in Canada, they will replace it!!

Sarah said...

i feel your pain. I dropped my husband's ipod on the ground of the car park just before christmas AFTER all his pressies were bought. an expensive oops!

Once you've finished off those orange/chocolate things you better start planning a shopping trip! No reason to hurry though. They look mighty delicious and it would be a shame not to fully enjoy the whole box before doing anything else :)

Stitched Together said...

Noooooo! That's awful. I hope the insurance will cover it :-(

Annabella said...

Oh boo. That's as bad as mine falling out of my back pocket and down the toilet! Insured on contents? Hope so. Meanwhile - eat the whole thing. x

Did it hurl itself off the worktop? Hope the chocolate helps and that there's an offer on for so-cheap-it's-almost-free replacement screens!

No!!! Nick drowned his phone last year, took it to apple and got a reconditioned phone for £100.
hope the chocolate helps!

Crap!!!! My iPod has had many a drop (oops) but has always been fine. My dad dropped his the day he got it and the screen cracked. Sometimes your luck is just out!

Ooooh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! That's a bad, bad way to start a week, hope it's not like breaking a mirror, and you get 7 years bad luck! Get the chocloate down you, and then some more. Hope your day improves, maybe with a big delivery of fabric?? : )

Oh crap. We've had this happen twice with our ipod touch. A quick purchase on ebay of a silicone screen cover and it still works! Keeps the glass from coming out in little shards. Also if you or partner are at all handy you can buy replacement screens yourself off ebay and replace it yourself. Much cheaper than apple shop!

Sarah said...

Isn't sad that my stomach lurched when I saw your picture? I think I'd cry, reach for the chocolate and if you run out go out and get some more, you deserve it. :-(((((

Beth said...

Ugh!

Fiona @ Poppy Makes said...

Oh no! Could you get to an Apple shop? I've heard of them just handing out a replacement of the older models (3g and 3gs) might be worth a try?
In the meantime chocolate sounds like good therapy x

Buggeration.

ooo sod it think you need more than one choc orange or maybe a big selection to get over that !!!

Leanne said...

OMG! And to consider the number of times I have thrown mine across the room, dropped on the ground, etc. - never on purpose - and nary a scratch. There are some good ideas here for a fix. Eat more chocolate.

Ouch...but I think you can actually have the screen replaced quite easily....fingers crossed eh!

NNNNOOOOO!!! Oh my. The chocolate is bound to help a bit. It's amazing how often we reach for it. We rarely notice 'til it's not working :(

Isisjem said...

Bugger although you can get a replacement screen and tools on ebay to replace or there are companies that do it for you if you don't want to risk it. Not as pricey as you may think.

Little Island Quilting said...

Honestly, the lengths some people will go to just to get a blog post ;-)

Sarah said...

Bum! Hope you get it fixed/sorted soon - if not just jump up and down on it. Won't fix it but it will make you feel great! Not helpful, I know...

Oh no. :-( Hope the contents insurance covers it. Some good suggestions above though. Hope the medicinal chocolate did it's stuff too.

WTF?! Hope you had a good stock of those choccie oranges!

Ouch! The good thing about IPhone is that they will still work despite the broken screen. My daughter dropped hers (more than once) last summer and has only just replaced it! The screen had shattered but it still worked.
The chocolate will cure all :)

My grand daughter just did that. It costs $100.00 to fix. That is to bad.
