And Back to the Sewing

Some days don't go to plan, but they still work out despite that. My car needed its tyres rebalancing today. That cut into the sewing plans. The school rang and asked me to get Helen just before lunchtime as she wasn't well. That cut into the sewing time. Domestic drudgery was required. That cut into the sewing time.

Yet, my day went remarkably well (other than the bit where my finger met the shiny new and very sharp rotary cutter blade - that bit didn't go well at all). And yet I sewed during the free time I did have and everything just seemed to work today. It was great!

I quilted some grey linen for front and back panels for a tote bag. I attached the epp lozenges I had made previously by machine appliquéing them. And I constructed the tote.

By the time I had to go get Emily from school I was done, which surprised me more than anything. It also pleased me to no end as it allowed me to take some photos before any and all decent light had disappeared.

The tote is made using Stof grey linen, scraps of aqua fabric, and lined with Aneela's Sew Stitchy aqua pins.

This was most definitely a good day.

Hope your finger heals up soon...ouch! I did something similar about 3 weeks ago but with a sharp knife, cutting carrots, except I found my finger instead...it was a A&E job!
