I am happier with this attempt. What do you think?
|Front and back.|
A little Heather Ross in there.
The triangles will be separated by a linen strip with some hand stitching on it.
I have also been trying to set aside some time to stitch on Emily's quilt every day, whether it is fifteen minutes or an hour. Just to progress it forward. There is a lot of blank space on the quilt as I have mentioned before - legacy of letting a five year old help design her own quilt. I can remember the age by the house we lived in. Isn't that sad! We were in Newchurch on the IoW, therefore Emily must have been five as she had her birthday the first week we were in that house and we were there for slightly less than a year.
Anyway, I digress (as Rhonda would say), I am hand stitching hearts with perle all over the blank space. Some in coloured thread but most in white. I am not sure how I feel about this quilt. It will not be my favourite, but Emily loves it. That is what we aim for. Customer satisfaction.
|... and more hearts.|
I can see a finish on the horizon.
Love your orange/aqua pouch pieces - gonna be brill!ReplyDelete
While I didn't dislike yesterdays aqua scrapiness, I do much prefer todays :-) your partner is super lucky!ReplyDelete
Sounds like Emilys quilt is a true labour of love, keep at it :-)
I liked the scrappiness yesterday but it looks great with the zingy orange! Emily's quilt looks very cute and glad she loves it :)ReplyDelete
I tell my car I love it (when I get a chance to use it, my husband takes it to work!) just to keep it going!
Loving the orange. I'm in love with the orange camper van. It reminds me of getting a lift to play school with my friend Fiona who's mum had an orange camper van just like that. We used to fight to sit on the flip down seat thingy.ReplyDelete
I am a scrappy lover so you are doing just great and by the way your hand stitching is superb!ReplyDelete
A big old YES to this scrappy design. Waaaaaay better than the last. Love it!ReplyDelete
Orange is not quite my colour, but I do love these! And your hand stitching always makes me jealous!ReplyDelete
Love the scrappy in the last post and I love the scrappy in this post - can't wait to see what you do next! Love the quilted hearts!ReplyDelete
The orange/blue piecing is great! Love the fussy cut HR! And if the recipient is happy, I'm happy! Keep stitching you are doing a grand job!ReplyDelete
Well as I`m in a bit of an orange love-in at the moment, I think your half half (what we here would call nuss nuss) is great! Well our car failed to start last week and they thought it was the alternator that had gone and then it too miraculously started again. Ours is not to reason why!ReplyDelete
Your hand quilting is brilliant. As long as the recipient loves it thats all that matters (although I find it hard to work on things Im not in love with )ReplyDelete
Yep-I think you're rocking the scrappy blocks today with the less is more approach.
Glad the car has continued to behave itself!
I really liked your scrappy block yesterday, but I have to say I do prefer this, it looks great.ReplyDelete
Love the hearts, which reminds me I really need to work on my hand quilting to get that #@*! guilt finished.
glad you are feeling more positive and happy today xxReplyDelete
Flippin' gorgeous! I WANT THAT POUCH! JxoReplyDelete
Just send me my purse now!!!ReplyDelete
Poor Hadley she thinks it is for her when we all know it is really for ME!!ReplyDelete
oh it's gorgeous - your partner, which sadly i don't think is me, is very luckyReplyDelete
Okay, I want that pouch just for the bike and camper cans lolReplyDelete
Yay for an end in sight on the quilt...
Both projects are looking great!ReplyDelete
Since I am not as picky as some of these bloaks I will take yesterday's pouch! LOLReplyDelete
Love the scrappy aqua and orange blocks together!ReplyDelete

I ADORE your pouch effort so far. Love love LOVEReplyDelete
I really like the scrappiness of your MS pouch - esp like the fussy cut orange camper in there! I'm sure your partner will be thrilled!ReplyDelete
