Almost finished, that's what. I have been diligently working on my Terrain quilt today and I am so close to being done and finally ticking a box for a finish in 2012. Woohoo! I can't remember if I told you that I nipped over to the sewing machine repair shop while Emily did her dance class on Saturday. They don't sell fabric there, but they do sell thread.
I spent this morning going crossed eyed, watching that walking foot clatter up and down, in the nicest possible way.
Don't be surprised if you can't see the quilting. I decided that I liked the Terrain fabric and the HST layout so much that I didn't want to have any obvious quilting, so it is all in the ditch. You can vaguely see the quilting pattern on the back a little more clearly.
After all my deliberation about what to do with borders and binding, I forgot all about it when I received the backing and basted the layers together. So I just went with navy binding and left it at that.
Despite appearances to the contrary, it is not yet finished. There is still a fair amount of this to do.
But I do feel like I accomplished something today. This is good.
