Nordika and Kona pomegranate. I think I need to go have a lie down now. Suffice to say I will be making as few pairs of lined curtains as possible in my lifetime.
very cute, I have this panel and look at it all the time going what would I do with this.. But it wouldnt be this, to hard and much for me. but I love the panel
They look great and at least they are finished, just over 7 years ago I made curtains so that we could B in a bigger bedroom leaving the little room ready for the new baby. I lined them with blackout fabric and hung them waiting for them to settle before hemming the lining - they still haven't been hemmed!
Love the fabric ....posh window dressing. I've also finished curtains this weekend - good old Ikea fabric with big yellow flowers on, fully lined of course! Bent a couple of pins and bled all over them!
Made a few pairs of curtains for my gran a few years back. That was a labour of love. People ask me to make them curtains all the time - I tell them it's cheaper to go to Dunelm!
curtains look great, I made curtains once and sewed the wrong side of the tape onto the curtains for my sister. Damn damn damn, still remember the annoyance 16 years on!
The look fab, but my curtain making runs to hemming the premade extra-long ones from Ikea. And the ones in my living room I did with wundaweb, err, 10 years ago...
Thank you for leaving a comment. I read them all and I love them all. I do my utmost to reply to comments as often as possible. If you comment and never receive a reply from me there is the possibility that you are a no-reply commenter.
You're funny, they look fantastic!

ReplyDeleteI pondered doing lined curtains for my bedroom. Not sure I can handle the need for such accuracy.

ReplyDeleteMy mum makes curtains all the time, but doesn't really care to sew anything else - I think she has a problem, and you did great!

ReplyDeleteHelen's curtains do look fabulous though!
Thank you for this - I feel the same way. I try and buy curtains as often as required. I know it's only straight stitching but still...
ReplyDeletenicely done! Now would you pop round and make some for my sewing room?

ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful! I think I've made one pair of lined curtains in my life and I'm not rushing to repeat the process...it was so boring!!
